For St. Louise, this equates to approximately $250,000 a year. To meet this fundraising goal, each family is responsible for raising/contributing $500 during the school year. Annual fundraising provides the necessary funds to support the operational, academic, extracurricular, and special programs at St. Louise. There are many opportunities to reach your Family Share fundraising requirement, often without any out of pocket expenses. (Check your Family Share balance)
If we exceed the school’s Diocesan mandate for fundraising, we may utilize the excess amount for special projects and renovations to the school.
For an overview of our fundraisers and an explanation of how it works, please review our Fundraising at a Glance brochure.
The Diocese of Pittsburgh and the South Regional Catholic Elementary Schools have a policy that all schools must follow regarding the school’s operating budget. At our schools, around sixty-six percent of our operating costs come from tuition, twenty-two percent from regional subsidy, twelve percent from fundraising, and the remaining amount is derived from general donations.
Through the Family Share Program, the South Regional Catholic Elementary Schools formalize fundraising and volunteerism opportunities and give our families the opportunity to support the school, become more involved in the school community, and build community with other parents and families. With your participation and support, we can work together to help our school thrive and continue to provide our students with the opportunity to receive a Catholic education foundation built on Catholic values, strong academics, family, and a commitment to serving the community. Any amount raised through the Family Share Program goes directly back to supporting the school.
